Would 18x8 wheels look flush with 225/40R18 tires? With stock suspension.

Welcome to the forum.

For rear fitment read the following.

Read post 213 and 214.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...=28017&page=16

Read page one of the Meaty tire thread.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41083

The front will need some camber to tuck the 245/35. Not sure if it is possible with camber bolts and natural camber from lowering. By s tech drop coils, I assume you mean s tech springs.

Read this stuff and decide if it is still a route you wan to go in. Anything is possible with enough work and parts.

Good luck!

18x8 +45 MOTEGI RACING MR116 will work for your front. I have the same exact size wheels for my front with the same offset, though now I have added a 10mm spacer making them +35. I am using a 225/40/18 MPSS front tire.

If you want a wider tire for the rear, I would suggest getting a wider wheel. Like in the link below. I ran a 245/35/18 on an 18x8 and it was too wide. The 255/35 is not going to be a good fit.

I have 18x9 +37 rear wheels with a 245/35/18 MPSS tire. Since my set up is close to a 18x9 +35, (like in the link) I can tell you that it will fit a 245/35/18 tire lowered on tein springs. But a 255/35 is going to be close and may rub.

https://www.amazon.com/Motegi-Racing...I+RACING+MR116

Or get the 18x8 +45 all around with a 225/40 and call it a day. You can rotate the tires that way. Adding a 10mm front and a 15mm rear will make the wheels flush. (Or 15mm front and 20mm rear for a more aggressive look)

It really is about what you want out of the wheels and tires.

Happy to help.
Hey how wide can I go with the 18X8 all around. If go 235 or 245 of they won't rub.

I would suggest 225/40 for 18x8 inch wheels. The other sizes will work too. 225/40 fits best, is the lightest weight, and will cost the least.

Do you have coilovers? Or are you planning on springs? How aggressive do you want your camber?

17x9+25 sticks out 3.7mm more than a 9.5" +35 wheel. Look at post # 89 it will stick out approx. 4mm more than the pics in the link before lowered, and as you can see will need a bit of camber to tuck the fronts.

would be on coils. dont want super aggressive camber but willing to adjust to see what its like

thanks for the info/link, hmmm seems like the fronts stick out a little too far so if the 17x9 +25 will stick out more i think im better off with 17x9 +35

actually, i found these thread of 18x9 +25 and post #22 is actually kinda appealing to me so maybe i will reconsider

So I am getting the rallybacker v2 kit, and I can't decide what wheel specs to get to make it flush with stock camber. According to 86worx.com, the kit is supposed to add an extra 50mm up front and 85mm in the rear. Also, what tires would I need to run with little to no tire stretch. My car is currently dropped an inch on coilovers.

Thanks.

I know Michelins are expensive, and that the 245/35 can cost more than a 245/40, but right now on Tirerack, they have Ventus Evo 12's for 150 each. (not bad )

I understand that if you are not going to lower you car, that you may want a taller tire to "eat up" some of the gap. If this is your logic, then go for the taller heavier tire. Most guys eventually lower their cars though...

Happy holidays! Glad I can help.

Hey Im trying to run 245/35 18 with a 9.5 rim but in stock height(for now) if i go with federal 245s 595 rs r would they fit good with no rubbing. I heard they run bigger
