I didn't see any sub forums that looked right for this, so decided to put it here. I just got a '14 Monogram Edition. Haven't had time to look around under it. My question is....is there a way to lift one entire side with a floor jack to rotate tires and stuff?

The manual shows a cross member in front and the differential in back for lifting the ends. Flyin Miata makes a gizmo that goes over the pinch weld so you can lift one entire side of a Miata. Wonder if anything like that exists for this car, or if there's another way.

Oh, I reckon if you were to place a 4x4 along the entire pinch weld then place a floor jack at the balance point, you could lift up one side of the car.

HOWEVER!
I would NOT do that!

I would suggest you jack up one corner at a time and place a stand under each corner before you remove the wheels.

(oh, I hope someone doesn't give you a Darwin award ......

I personally leave the parking brake off and just use chocks. When I leave it on, the jack stands in front try to tip forward.

I think this is how Bubba did it before he got his Quickjack. I cut a slot...I mean he cut a slot in the top of the landscape timber for the pinch weld to sit down in. Use the floor jack in the center (red arrow) to jack the vehicle then lower it down onto jack stands where the actual jack point are. Just be careful as the wood wants to try to rotate as you are jacking it so make sure the jack is free to roll as it needs. Any problems or questions...ask Bubba.

If you want to rotate your tires with just one jack you can use the spare tire as a buffer

ex.

Lift LF corner, remove LF tire, put on spare, lower
Lift LR corner, remove LR tire, put on LF tire, lower
Lift LF corner, remove spare, put on LR tire, lower

Then repeat on the right side
