Lifting the thing
I didn't see any sub forums that looked right for this, so decided to put it here. I just got a '14 Monogram Edition. Haven't had time to look around under it. My question is....is there a way to lift one entire side with a floor jack to rotate tires and stuff?
The manual shows a cross member in front and the differential in back for lifting the ends. Flyin Miata makes a gizmo that goes over the pinch weld so you can lift one entire side of a Miata. Wonder if anything like that exists for this car, or if there's another way. |

HOWEVER! I would NOT do that! I would suggest you jack up one corner at a time and place a stand under each corner before you remove the wheels. (oh, I hope someone doesn't give you a Darwin award ...... )humfrz |

I personally leave the parking brake off and just use chocks. When I leave it on, the jack stands in front try to tip forward. Edit: Doh! Brinks link is to the same thread... |

If you want to rotate your tires with just one jack you can use the spare tire as a buffer
ex. Lift LF corner, remove LF tire, put on spare, lower Lift LR corner, remove LR tire, put on LF tire, lower Lift LF corner, remove spare, put on LR tire, lower Then repeat on the right side |
