Lower Heat Isn't Hot
Anyone find that leg/lower heat/heater isn't hot?
This is after full warmup and compared to full blast of hot air for upper air alone, the lower heat alone is about 23 degrees celcius at most (room temperature) and at least half as weak in blowing the air out. |

Close the vents you're not using, if any. I rarely have passengers (their loss), so I close the right vent in the center and the passenger side vent by the door, and that increases the airflow to whatever else is still open.
I don't think the floor heating is bad when the car is at optimum running temp. This car actually has some of the best heat I've had in a car besides my old Corolla. Feet get toasty pretty quick from my experience. Sometimes I switch to it just to spread the heat out a bit, rather than turn the temp down, so my knuckles and face don't get cooked by the upper vents when I have the heat set to Hell. Are you using the fresh air setting or the recirculation? It does make a bit of a difference, and if your cabin air filter is clogged up that will affect the airflow in the recirculation setting.

Cabin air filter affects both fresh and recirc. You're good as long as you can see light through it.

Color of eggshells is determined by genetics, much like the color of human hair. Some colors are dominant traits while others are recesifs, so the probably isnt a 50/50 split. What was this thread about again?

Personally, I think this car has one of the best heating systems of any car I've had. There's heat at the vents within a minute or two of driving, and it gets hot enough to bake a potato.

Yes I noticed the same thing and found it strange. The floor heat is noticably colder than the top vents, and when the aiflow setting is low, there is not a lot of air coming out the floor. For the temperature maybe it's intentional design. In cold climate most people are wearing boots or insulated shoes during winter, so if the air at your feet was the same temperature than the one blowing at your hands/face, then your feet would be really hot with the boots and all. But it could be a bit warmer. PS: I have automatic climate control, but use it mostly in manual mode. |
