That's the front radiator support, is it not? I don't think that's structural beyond holding up parts. It's also therefore not remotely worth swapping out. And if I got the piece wrong and it is structural, it's still not worth swapping out. Clean it up, repaint. If the color really bugs you, you could pull the underbody panels and prep the entire width of the piece and paint it all black to line up with the panels or something... just make it look intentional. All good to go.

Just save the can because a month from now you'll scratch it again.

I use the brand name, but anything similar will do. I mean, you probably don't want to use latex or something, stick with paint intended for underbody rust treatment. And get the small can, it usually doesn't last forever on the shelf.

Don't forget to finish with a good clear coat.

If I'm going to take care of this scrape and paint it and put on clear coat, I should probably put quality clear coat on all my paint. Two clear coats is better that the crappy OEM clear coat. Do you recommend just two? Or could I do like 86? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Just do the area you're repainting. Make sure to use the same type of paint (enamel in this case)

I've used their clear (spray) enamel on my RacerX rear LCA's, which I got before they were anodizing anything, so they were raw aluminum. It has helped, but road debris has made the front of the arms pockmarked. Not much to do about it.
