scraped metal under the paint repair help

So i dont know how this happened but i found a small paint chip that went so deep is scraped the metal under it.
I was thinking of maybe just using compound and then opticoat over it. or use some touchup paint then sand it and coat over it (wax?)
not too sure yet.

What would you guys recommend?

sorry for bad pics
the really bright part in the pic is the metal from the flash on the phone

Do you really see metal? I see factory anti-chip/urethane doing its specifically intended job (preventing knicks into bare metal). If true, just do touch up. Or if you do see metal, you may apply one of those rust inhibitors (seen some at my local auto parts shop) before the touch up.

yea i can see all the layers under the paint and the metal.
my biggest concern was it rusting and just getting bigger.
ill look for that rust protection thing and see if i can get some touch up paint from the dealer.
althougth i bought my car from out of state. i dont know if they will send any.

any recommendations on the rust protection?

If there's no rust not much point on putting rust inhibitor before the paint. The stuff I'm thinking of converts rust to something more inert and paintable. I'd just clean it real good, then touch up paint it.

wouldn't hurt to apply a sealer also. thicker is better, more protection for the new paint as well.
