I think they are just jealous about our cars.

You're kidding, right?

Given that low CG on the FR-S/BRZ, I'm sure all the Porsche guys are just eating their hearts out right now too

Speaking only for myself, I'd be "jealous" if they came boosted from the factory with another 50-75 more whp.

Except then I'd just trade in my Z, so my jealousy problem would be solved...

The FR-S isn't an expensive car. It's not an exotic. It's got a crappy interior. It's also a lot of fun. I've owned far more expensive vehicles than this--I have no delusions otherwise. However, 370Zs are also slow(factory), cheap, mass produced 'sporty' cars which I think are fairly cool for what they are.

What's the point? There is always someone with a faster car. "Needing" more power is clearly compensation for the lack of power in other areas of your life.

Strongly disagree. Also, it was pretty rude to make assumptions about other aspects of his life.

I'm not against having more power, it's just that 200bhp is not "too low" as many have said, IMO. And I am extremely glad it's not turbo from the factory, much easier to take care of.

I agree with that! I think a lot of people are just used to 250-300hp machines and would just like a tad more oomph-- you know-- another 20 or so would do it for a lot of people, i think. However, i do agree with you-- 200hp isn't too low, IMO.

I honestly did. After selling my 400WHP toy i was having second thoughts on why i was purchasing a 200hp car. My sales guy noticed me having second thoughts he was so confident in the car he said " We are not letting people test drive the fr-s until they sign the paperwork but im so confident you will like so much that i will let you drive it even though my manager is going to give me crap about it, thats how sure i am that you will buy this car." Sat in the drivers seat took some corners around the dealer came back and signed the papers.

You know you would have been all over this car had it came out a little sooner. lol I think the constant rumors of Toyota shutting down the program or pushing back the release date is what led you to the z. I remember reading your posts on Newcelica and you were like a little school girl like the rest of us.

Wait, 370z's are slow? Since when? Not compared to an FT86. Most of the people on this site concede that the Z is faster, although folks don't think they're as fun. And they're not cheap. Affordable, sure, but the car is extremely well built.

It's not as fast as a Mustang GT, granted. But I hardly think 332hp pushing 3300 lbs is slow.

This is helping me a lot with my decision. I seem to be stuck at the power barrier because I had a Nismo 370 and a new Camaro SS and 200hp seems super low comparably.

If you want to go faster in the FR-S, press on the accelerator! I guarantee you will have lots of fun doing it.
