FT 86 & 370Z similarities

Any image I found on deviant art. What caught my attention is the altered headlights, which made it look very similar to the FT 86. So I came to share with you guys! lol

On a more serious note, there are lots of similarities between the two.

I think the FT-86 looks slimmer, smaller even though they have similar dimensions. Both have FR layour, are Japanese made, and are fun-to-drive( er I dunno about FT-86 yet, but 370Z is sure fun-to-drive).
Talking about similarities, there are not many, but there are many differences about these two. VQ 3.7L V6 on the Z means serious business, but heavy weight( lighter than predecessor) is a minus. It's a true sport car because of superb handling. In the other hand, we don't know what kind of beast the FT-86 is, is it sporty coupe or a serious sport car like 370Z.

Flame suit on...

I hope there aren't too many similarities. To me the Z is the overweight fat kid on the block while the FT looks more trim and lighter. I hope I'm not disappointed.

I meant body-wise, lol. For instance notice the rear window arches are very similar; same with the wheel flare.

To be honest, I don't see any similarities?! The fenders are a lot wider on the 370, the roof line is taped on the FT, the door lines are different, the 370 has 2 grills etc.

They have a similar roofline, that's about where it ends.

Why don't you compare 370Z the Datsun 240Z? it's much better in comparison.

Looks more like a 350 than 370. 370 has a different shaped rear completely where as 350 and 86 have a smiler profile. And the 86 has simmilar body lines along the doors and rear quarter pannels
