Was the TRD intake a factory option or dealer option? Trying to figure if it's legal or not.

Given it's a dealer option for the 2017. I am going to assume it was the same for the 2013-2016 and answer my own question. Not legal.

We're a little late, but we have been trying to come up with a good wheel choice for this class, as some of you have requested.

Working with Enkei, we have come to the conclusion that the PF01 in 17x8 with a 45mm offset is perfect for this class. Without Valve stems and center caps, these wheels weigh almost exactly 17 lbs. Adding the valve stem and cap brings them to 17.1. They were weighed by Enkei on their certified scales, so we are confident that they are legal. They did only weigh the Black wheel, but they felt confident every color should be legal weight. They are 45mm offset instead of the minimum required 40mm for the class, which we are unfortunately stuck with as the 17x8 is not offered in 40mm.

Now the big question is the interest. These wheels are readily available in Black, but we were curious as to what you guys wanted before we were to organize pricing. We do have the option of having a group buy done in certain colors, such as our Matte Bronze or Gunmetal. If we were to do a custom order, the wheels would not be here until the spring.

The PF01 in gun metal would be pretty slick, but I would likely be on board for any color in the group buy.

I am currently on the Konig bandwagon, as extended studs and open end lugnuts in Wisconsin winters dont play well so I am going to stick to +40 offset wheels only. Hoping the new Dekagram or Ampliform come in a +40 and are 17lbs as they look a little better than the wagonwheel Ultraform

The Dekagram is definitely the one I'm hoping will meet specs, but agreed that either would be better than the Ultraform.

Nick for those of us who would rather use ET40 wheels, did you look into Konig or Rota wheels?

The Konig Ultraform in 17x8 ET40 do tick all right boxes and the 17x8 Rota Titans can be custom ordered in ET40 (ET45 make the weight not 100% sure about ET40)
We no longer have access to Rota, and I don't think we are able to get Konigs.

That's the color we were leaning towards. The time frame is the issue we are running into. There's a very good chance we wouldn't see them until March. If people are willing to wait, we can definitely get this moving. We are still working on pricing for the different color options.

I did just get a message from Chris Harvey at Tire Rack about this;

Hi Mike –

*I have an update for you ! Our wheel buyer just informed me he’s planning to do a special order of the TRM FF10’s with the 40et offset instead of the current 45et. These should weigh approximately 17.2 to 17.5 lbs, best estimate.

*Construction = Low pressure cast with flow forming.

Color = Carbon Grey

Size = 17x8, 40et

Warranty = 4 year structural, 1 year finish

*ETA = Feb/March 18’

They should be listed on our website sometime next week.

*It’s OK to share the info if you’d like.

*-Chris

*Trent Harvey**|**Brand Manager - Brakes & Suspension

That would make life easier.
