CEL but OFT says NO ECU issues

Update: It seems that the reason for it not functioning "properly" is because I never ran a tune on it (yet).

See pic, any ideas. Everything sounds normal as far as an "audio" inspection is concerned. Nothing weird happened. I pulled into a parking spot, turned car off, picked up stuff, got in car, turned on, and then CEL. I drove it home, turned it off, started it, and still CEL. I ran the OFT thereafter and says NO ECU issues (see pic).

October 17th update
UPDATE - Went to AutoZone and used theirs. It came back
Quote:
P0351 Ignition Coil A primary/secondary circuit fault
Probable cause
1 - Open or short circuit condition
2 - Ignition system fault
3 - Faulty ignition coil
Note: After their reader was done the CEL went away. I've since started, stopped, driven, etc several times and it has not come back.

No, it hasn't been plugged in for at least a month or longer.

Truth be told, I still have not even reflashed the ECU with a tune from it, lol.

That might be why. Maybe the OFT isn't supposed to clear CELs from a stock ECU, but I don't really know

Oh, yeah I didn't consider that. Maybe I'll run it down to Autozone tomorrow to see if they can read it...I think they do that for free?

Is your car an auto or MT? The OFT reads engine codes, but you need a different tool to read trans codes

I suggest reading from an actual OBD2 reader, OFT may not be able to read all codes or the code might not be from the engine computer, but from another one of the car systems.

basic and I'm sure you've already checked but open and refasten your gas cap.

Yes, they'll probably just let you borrow one and then go scan it yourself. I've done that in the past before I had a Bluetooth ODB-II reader.

Nope, didn't even think about that. I hadn't touched it in 200ish miles actually.
