Got my car back from the body shop eight days ago after getting rear ended.

Today I leave work and come out to this:







and the following masterpiece of a rained-on note: "Sorry, I think I may have scratched your car."

Yeah - when I worked in downtown PDX, it gave me great anxiety to park the BRZ. At my new job, there are only 2 spots I'll park in - away from the majority of people.

Yeah, I work in Southeast and it's street parking only. I've been hit three times in this car, all by people who just weren't paying attention. Driving here is such a nightmare. At least when I've gotten in crashes in other towns there was a reason (drunk driving is pretty prevalent in the south, for example)

You need a city car, something that's basically a throwaway pile. Something like...

Nah, the note had insurance info and it'll be taken care of, it's more just the DRAMATIC understatement in the note that set me off, hahaha

They were probably trying to make light of the situation by cracking a joke. At least they left a note. In most big cities, this sort of stuff is just normal/expected.

Before my finances took a sharp downturn last year I was planning on getting an old Forester and plasti-dipping it for this reason. Was gonna lift it and do the whole thing in red and black lumberjack theme.
