Use a rebuilt German one though since the Japanese parts cartel will charge you too much for a branded E-Torx hammer!

yeah but the over engineered german e torx hammer only hammers when you pull it towards you, which feels weird!

Take it in for a problem. "Looks like your car has been at the track" "We might have a problem".

It's like buying a jeep and not taking it offroad.
I was listening to an interview last night, apparently Mazda ponied up for every MX-5 ND transmission that shit the bed for autocrossers across the nation for CS/STR prep levels without question. Anyone who got denied was due to a regional/dealer person who didn't get the memo. I believe the same went for MX-5's that had seen track use and of course street cars as long as the modifications weren't bonkers. (which was probably not possible at the time given how new it was)

That includes headers, tunes, sticky tires, aftermarket suspensions, aftermarket LSD's etc.
Looks like it isn't solved yet but at least they didn't shaft initial buyers.

That depends... Do you write handwritten notes, put them on cars you don't own, then take a picture of said car and try to pass it off as your own? Cause that's what bad people do.

I stopped reading this thread when I reached the statement that tracking will add some wear only to tires and brake pads.

Keep going, it's fantastic. OP must be working up a titanic response, or he has left the building. Good either way. Some knowledge here as well. For example, I've stopped using the clutch to save wear on the hyd fluid thanks to this thread.

It is all in good fun. If the OP wasn't a total arse about things we would have nothing to work with.
He is not the first and will not be the last though.

Maybe his tracking means a 4:00 at Thunderhill 3 mile in which case, no, tracking is not abuse

This is why guys will gladly buy a car that was tracked a few times a year, but will never touch a modded car with a 10-foot pole.

A lot more than just "some wear" on just tires and brake pads, I'm very sure.

Do you know why track guys spend bucks on track tires? They are very sticky.
Unlike ricer drifter videos, you don't slip and slide on a track unless you're about to go into the wall.
Okay, have fun responsibly driving like grandma in your stock BRZ on the track. Make sure you yield to those who are actually trying to cut down on their lap times.

Prolonged high rpms and extreme heat ?

Your four sessions typically last 20 minutes each.

If you have never tracked your car, and conflate tracking with drifter hooning abuse,
do you think that tracking means driving at redline or something?
Watch (and hear) the RPM readout in this video. He's between 3k and 6k, like you're supposed to be.
Does this look like abuse? Does it look any different than what you do on the back roads every day?

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Please tell us more about how you're proud of being slow on the track because all those other racers are abusing their cars. Please also tell me more about how I should double-clutch my downshits and my upshits. Please be the authority on how others should drive their car and how your way is right. Please tell me more about your coveted German car collection. Please tell me more about what tools you love to use on your cars.

Please continue making more threads so I can laugh at you.
