You will usually see higher RPM for longer periods on the track.

Your car can handle running at 4k for 20 mins.

Be a blast to watch you go around the track at 4K. You truly do not have a clue on a single thing do you?

Running on a track for 20min at 4k is going to be a long 20 minutes, lol. Especially on a FR-S where you're in the torque dip....

Euhh, yes?!?
I did a lot of HPDE in my old RSX and was shifting 100-200 rpm before rev limiter, like almost everyone who is tracking their car is doing.
I haven't done any lapping yet in my BRZ, but I do a lot of autocross, and I often bump a couples of time on the rev limiter, because a shift to 3rd is not beneficial. All fast drivers will do that in autocross.

As for the OP, I don't see how an aftermarket warranty will be economically viable. You will surely end up paying the same amount of money an engine repair would cost you.

You, my friend, have never driven a track, yet are on the internet arguing about driving on the track.
You are as clueless as the internet gets.

You would be running 4k-7k where peak power lives. Even in the video you posted the E46 is running higher than 4k

Guys, lets end this argument,. Get a 4.88 or 5.1 final drive and your car will never be below 5k rpm ever at the track, since you only use 3-5 gears

I have the same problem you described and the dealer quoted me about 1k to fix it. Mainly due to the labor involved cause they remove the engine from the car.

True I have not tracked this car. I won't because I find the extra wear and risk of damage unacceptable due to it's importance for my work. That does not mean for one second I have never tracked a car. If you are tracking this car at 4K then you are going to piss off every other driver there since by the time they have lapped you 3 or 4 times they will have had enough of you.

I said 4k to 6k. Then in one post I say 4k. Do you really think you run a track at exactly 4k the entire time?
You clearly know nothing about this subject. How can one person constantly miss the point entirely?
You clearly have a learning disability. Watch the 2 videos I posted. Does that look like abuse?

I've seen several posters here refer to tracking as abuse. Like it's the worst thing you can do to a car. Meanwhile, the same people will buy a car that has been modded and hooned. That level of ignorance is overwhelming and it warranted posting a new thread.

Anyone with half a brain can see the track videos I posted and decide for themselves. For the rest of you, best of luck buying modded trash heaps that have "never been tracked". LMFAO.
