Instead of vista house extend the drive up to Larch Mountain. The 12 miles from Vista house up to Larch is much more twisty, way less traffic and way less Po Po.

The parking lot up there is a lot more empty for parking & if you want a short hike will get you to a nice view of the Gorge.

Have fun trying to get anywhere that weekend. Eclipse is the following day and i’m willing to bet the airport and anywhere around that area is going to suck.

Tbh nobody will be heading that direction at all. I don't foresee any traffic issues especially as we head east. If anybody is worried we can meet somewhere else, but traffic might be even less around the area we are driving because of the eclipse

This MUST be rescheduled/pushed out. If you didn't know all the car rentals are fully booked... On top of whoever's coming to town. That means there's an additional 29575849101 cars on the street.
