To each our own. Personally I think the quad tip in our openings especially if you have the wind-age tray (under bumper spoiler w.e you wanna call it) its just to much.

Unless you're going to have the exhaust shop fab tiny exhaust tips, you're going to have to cut your rear plastic bumper trim to make room for the tips. The tips themselves will add cost ($50-$200ea if not already on the exhaust.) You're probably going to want to add trim to clean up the look of the rear (another $175ish). Mentioning all this because costs can add up quick on a project like this.

If you're going quad tip, I'd recommend the hks legamax sport, but it's quite expensive. So possibly find a shop to change the tips of another exhaust too.

Really restricts your choices. Also need to chop up the diffuser. Zero benefit other than a certain look.

This is my setup as well and I get a lot of compliments. It can be a bit loud if you're all out, but if you drive normally it's quite quiet at idle and does not drone at highway speeds.

I recommend if you just want a CBE, go for the Perrin resonated cat back exhaust.

You will need to take a good hard look at your budget if you want to start buying TRD body parts.

I had the Perrin 2.5 resonated on my BRZ... Wife loved it, friends loved it, I loved it. I felt it provided what the car should have had straight up from Subaru. If I ever bought another 86 I'd buy it again no question.

love this exhaust. nice low, growly tone that goes well with the boxer. not very raspy and hardly drones on the freeway (i dont hear anything when i am in cruise control). when paired with an intake it is a perfect sound IMO.
