Hey guys, I've made this chart of what gear to shift to if you're cruising along and want to accelerate. Hope someone finds it helpful

As noted... Math is equivalent in North America (or perhaps just the states...) What makes me laugh is that I thought maths, but still didn't type it. I think it's work learned behaviour, same as the u just there because I'm replying to someone in the UK... I just context switch some words and spellings depending on the audience.

Though granted, either is acceptable in English.

I work in computer code, so I have to switch to 'merkin spelling for things like "color", which of course should be "colour". Behavior which should be behaviour. Favorite which should be Favourite. Also words that end with "ise", such as serialise, have to switch to "Serialize" for 'merkin spelling. Oddly my browser highlights the merkin spellings are wrong... because they are.

My American setup spell check loses it's mind every time I write something. I hope I don't use up all the computer's red pixels.

The difference is easy to explain and has nothing to do with just the US. Both sides changed spelling along the line.

But I'm also curious if this is for 13-16MY cars or 17MY+ cars

What's great about this chart is that it helps me to somewhat better understand how shifting at a lower engine speed affect engine speed less than when compared to high engine speeds.

I still don't completely understand why that is, but I have never actually gone out and looked for the answer. I also failed math my entire life, so I might not like the answer.

I know that I sometimes feel like 5th gear is useless because whenever I shift into 6 at 40ish mph, it feels like 6 needs to be taller, or 6th should be eliminated altogether. And while that may be true to some extent, clearly the difference of ratio makes more sense above 70.

Aren't you past redline in 2nd gear at 60mph? Or is this the longer leg AT?
