Not trying to start some flame war, but you could look at EBC Yellowstuff.
They market this pad as a quiet streetable and trackable pad. In theory, it seems like it could fit the bill nicely for you. NOW, many people have had huge issues with them, and will swear up and down that they are terrible. IT's true, people have had bad experiences with them. BUT, i've had great luck with them. They're quiet on the street, have crazy good initial bite for street/autoX and have proven quite good on track for me. On a 96 degree day running 5 30 minute sessions, the last few minutes of the last session of the day started to hint that the brakes weren't stopping quite as well. I never lost them, just the slightest decrease in brake performance after 2.4 hours of track time on a hot summer day. They didn't crumble off, they didn't kill me, they worked as advertised. So while I know that they're not that popular on the boards, I personally love them and haven't had a need to look elsewhere for a 1-pad to do it all solution. Obviously YMMV. |

I tried the new Powerstop "Track Day" pads with my stock rotors and calipers. Really impressed. Positive stopping with good pedal feel on the track and no heat fade at all. And quiet enough to leave on the car for daily driving also. And they are less money than some of the other brands.

Hmm, by their posted charts variance seems a bit larger for H12 low to mid temps, 0-300C delta of 0.15, not 0.02μ. SAS871 or SAS964 curves look "flatter"

Totally. I autoX and DD WAY more than I track the car (1 or 2 times a year), so they don't wear down very fast for me. I've had the same set for over a year, and they still have some life left in them.
But 4 track days? I'd imagine that'd destroy them pretty easily! |
