Spin out last night. How do I check for damage?

I don't plan on daily driving the FR-S in the winter here to avoid just that. I do have some touch up paint already for a few rock chips near the wheel wells, so I'll take another look. The gravel is pretty much where I came to rest so I'll be alright this time. Do you mean paint chips underneath the car? Or in the wheel wells and side panels where you'd expect them?

I'm just going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're having a bad day...I agree whole-heartedly that nothing beats raw experience, yet concurrently I seek to learn from those who have already experienced. I came here not out of laziness but for want of knowledge. And no need to worry, I won't be asking you to lend me a jack.

I did a 360 in light rain in a Citation (one of the worst POSs from the 80's) in front of a police car -very scary even though didn't hit anything and cop didn't flinch. Lesson learned: watch the throttle especially on a wet roundabout.


Did it again on a summer day in my 2nd gen RX7 - when I slid on a metal road plate/cover talk about terrifying because I stopped inches away from hitting a parked car. Lesson learned old rear wheel drive cars are super fun but their lack of tech and tiny OEM tires commands extra caution (and those metal plates they use to cover road work have crap traction).


No damage at all just a little embarrassment.

I was specifically referring to the subframes and suspension components. Anything painted black under the car. I wouldn't worry about it too much since you probably didn't kick many rocks up based on the description.

Hey OP don't worry too much about it if you are worried about subframe, alignment, or pretty much under carriage damage just bring it in to a dealer and do an alignment check I know at mine we don't charge unless you want us to go ahead with the work. But really if the tech isn't retarded he will call whatever He/she sees once it's on the rack
