Thank you! and If it makes you feel any better the one road I usually drive on the mountain is a road that I've probably been passenger on maybe 1,000 times making trips back and forth from my home to northern virginia as a kid, I would love to hit a track with a more experienced driver or coach but at the moment that all just depends on $$$.

I've tried to stray away from doing anything extremely dangerous and to be quite fair I've never really pushed the car to a point where I feel like I may be inches away from the rear end giving out on a turn or anything crazy like that, and with the season we're currently in the amount of Deer out on back roads and mountains is crazy and I couldn't imagine the look of my car after slamming into a Deer (although I'm sure someone will post a picture soon to follow ) so for that reason I've kept it quite cool

After owning several American Sports Cars and then switching to Toyota Trucks in 1996 I was waiting for a Japanese Sports Car I could afford. The Supra was out of my price range and in 2013 I got to drive an FR-S of someone I knew and I got that feeling back of driving a RWD sports car, this time it was Japanese. I got my 2016 in 2015 and have enjoyed every second of it.

Enjoy your FR-S!

I'd also like to point out that I learned how to drive in the FRS. Upon turning 18 I was granted a drivers license through DMV by completing my driving test in the FRS.

Before I ever sat behind the wheel of one of these cars I really had no interest in pursuing my own or even had an interest in cars or Motorsports in general. I didn't know much about cars back then and to be completely honest I'm no guru now. When I first came onto these forums as a potential buyer of the vehicle a lot of the members on here actually told me to not go for it due to my age and how new of a driver I was and I'm extremely happy I went for it.

I'm not sure if it's a new driver thing or a first car thing, but there isnt a single time I park my car and I don't snap my head 3 or 4 times to look at it, there's not a single time I sit behind the wheel and turn the ignition and not smile. Getting this car has opened up so many doors that has been really cool to experience and I've had the opportunity to meet a lot of great people both on the road and online. Just a few weeks after getting my license I met up with a fellow forum user from the DMV on here and they are someone who'd I'd consider a pretty good friend now and I've had the opportunity to go to a few local meets and meet other owners and to me I feel like that's one of the most important things about owning this car and being able to get involved in the amazing community behind it.

As I had mentioned earlier I haven't driven too many cars in my lifetime but the enjoyment behind the wheel that this car has given me is perfect. I live in an area where I'm surrounded by mountains to drive and nothing beats the feeling of getting into the halfway point of a turn and putting the throttle down and sling-shotting in and out of the turns and corners. Of course there are many cars on the market that can give you this feel but for the price (drove mine off the lot for $17,500) and how openly you can truly make the car yours you can't go wrong.

The platform is truly unique and I feel like there is a very strong negative bias about the car until people actually sit behind the wheel of one and drive it themselves. If you're in the market for a car of this genre go get one while they're hot
i have to agree with you man. bought mine when i just turned 19 and havent regretted it since.. even during our horrible winter in canada aha. enjoy the car man

More like this '61. Yours is in the background, Pops.

All kidding aside, Volts, best wishes. You've been ruined for normal cars by owning such a gem so early. Good on ya.
