It's hilarious. You just cannot admit you're wrong. Even when you're conceding that you are you manage to make up some justification for how you're not really wrong. Just give up the bone.

The fact remains they recommend that you don't use them on the drive wheel. That is not "wrong", it is the documented recommendation of the manufacturer. I am not going to post the many links that state that even a torsen diff can have issues running a spare that is even slightly different. It is bad advice to say that it is OK.

I am willing to entertain the idea that it doesn't do as much damage as I originally believed but I'm still not convinced my understanding of the torsen is wrong. You know me, though. I'll own it either way.

Who is "they"?

You're totally hooped if you've got awd then eh?

Just post one link from a car maker or a tire maker that supports your statements.

There are none, zero.

That's an ok set up because of the caster being so good.

The owner's manual for the the Golf specifically warns their owners not to fit that type of spare to the front axle,(or drive axle if awd is fitted), the torque steer becomes unmanageable, even for a skilled driver.

Finally, the speed limit and maximum distance restrictions will be insufficient for you to leave the shopping centre parking lot.

Doesn't really matter what I put in front of you does it?
Agreed that a torsen is a bit more forgiving than other types but that does not mean it is perfectly OK to run a spare on the drive.

PEOPLE - Follow the instructions in the manual not what some joker on the internet tells you.
End of story.

I don't think Honda uses a Torsen.

Since the BRZ uses a Lexus Torsen this video may be of interest:

The clip was specific to the Si.
See if you can find it on this list:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torsen

Should I go pull all those other car manuals for you?

You wanted a link to a car with a torsen that said running the spare could damage it. I gave you a link to a car with a torsen differential with a statement that the spare could damage it. You naturally wish to disbelieve it even though it is in black and white.
