Lol
I was reading a few posts about having fun in turnabouts and then got lost with the winter tires discussion. This forum drives me crazy ...

If you go back to where the snow tire thing started you will see that this is actually still on topic and relevant to the thread. I would just like to see Jeffe keep his car in one piece and stay alive while he still has fun in the snow whereas others feel that they have some uncanny skill over the ice that allows them to use improper equipment.

I entirely agree. Maybe not for the reason you think.

Just as paranoia is the unjustified feeling of persecution so arrogance is merely unjustified self confidence.

I suffer from neither condition, how about you?

Maybe you should ask yourself why tire makers build all season tires.

Because they are useful in some areas.
Why do they make snows?

In what area are all season tires useful?

Answer my question. You thought it was such a smart statement to ask me why they made all seasons, It also applies to snows.

Conti DWS 06 are not bad in the snow. That being said. They aren't good either. They are what I'm currently running and used through last winter. They're fine for what they are. If I could do it over I'd get winters and summers. Now I'm stuck with these until they run out if tread.

This is exactly what I have been saying. There is a huge difference between "Works" and Works well".
All of the reviews for the DWS say "leading in class for light snow" so that means they lead the all season not that they meet the standard of snows.
It is like being the top student in the remedial class.

Answer mine first. Everyone knows about snows. This discussion is about whether all season tires can match snow tires. So, please, do the areas where you say all season tires can be used get any snow?

Get winters and keep the DWS. They get better and better to use as summer tires as they wear. For the street ultra high performance all season tires are perfect for the BRZ.

I answered yours.
This is pointless when you can't even manage to follow your own conditions.
