Wheel and tire specs for FRS (New Tein Flex Z suspension installed)

Hey everyone!

Very new to FT-86 but I like community here so far from reading many threads. I just installed new coilovers on my FR-S and I am trying to find out what wheel and tires specs are flush to fit and be able to withstand speed bumps without scraping! I hope to hear everyone's solution!

I've got 18x9.5 +38 with 245/35R18 on Flex Z's. Sits pretty flush with a little bit of negative camber (I have -2.2 up front), no rub, and it didn't scrape.. well, before the springs settled at least. Raising it back up here soon.

Thanks for the share! That looks so clean, and yeah I have lowered it quite a bit and I realized it was a huge mistake trying to get out the driveway.

Thanks for the link! It's great when It comes to fitment and I like the chart but I was looking more for real world experiences from those who have tried these figments. Especially like the spring example, after some usage and the spring sets, it may cause some rubbing which isn't too great. Or, going over bumps are hard with 18x9.5s and so forth.

Then you need to provide more information.

"Just installed coilovers" doesn't provide enough information on fitment and rubbing. You should also post up alignment specs, ride height, spring rate, and a bunch of other things.

what about mine?
installed Flex Z as well and dropped about 1.2 all around and i am at -1.5 camber on all corners. thinking about to getting 18x9.5 at rear and 18x8.5 at front or 9.5 all around.
not looking for meaty tire size so thinking about 245/40 ?

1.5 to upwards of 2.5 negative camber all around.

Zero toe if you want to primarily drive for street.

More camber = more tramlining on grooved or crowned roads. be aware.

It won't rub or otherwise be uncomfortable, but many people fail to see why too much negative camber is a bad thing on a street car.

mav1178: imho slight toe-in in rear may help on streets too. Car is more stable when accelerating, especially when low grip (winter/wet). It's not FWD self-straightening under acceleration, so may benefit of some alignment help.
