Gets through OK.
LOUD NOISES! yesterday. Free pyrotechnics all over. Shrimp season opens tomorrow out in front of my house. We'll see what develops. Taco Time: today only. $5 for 5 crisp beef tacos. Time for a road trip.

Well, OK ....... a another Mexico story.
It was back in the 70s and I was a research rep and my co-worker was a tech rep for a chemical company. Every year we took a selected group of university professors, that had done research for our company, down to Mexico for a week of fishing and sight seeing. So, we laid on the company jet and shuttled about 20 of them down to Mazatlán. Now, about the worst thing that could happen was to allow a guest to wind up in a Mexican jail. So we housed them in a first class hotel .....that had a rule ...... NO Mexican girls allowed in the hotel rooms! OK, so, Ken and I explained to rule to them ...... stating that we had retained a local cab driver to stand by at the hotel to transport anyone who had a burning desire to have a Mexican girl, to an appropriate place. Just ask one of us and we would accompany them. Well, there is always that 10% (university professors included) that don't play by the rules. One hot, Mexican night, Dr Clancy _______ from UC Davis brought an under age girl up to his room ...... and got caught. The management called the federales and he was arrested and taken to jail. So, Ken and I had to go down and get him out. Now, Ken and I had a strategy when traveling in Mexico together, that, although Ken spoke fluent Spanish, he would never talk, I in my gutter Mexican, would do the talking, he would just listen and whisper in my ear what they were saying. Well, as it turned out, we had to almost max out our credit cards to get him out of jail and "keep it off the books". Now, to put THAT on your expense account ........ but, that is another story ......... humfrz |

Does anyone have a keychain garage door opener? Getting kind of tired of having to use the keypad on the garage because I don't have an opener, and it sucks when I come home with my hands full of stuff. Something like this. I just need to check compatibility, but if anyone has one, would be appreciated to get some feedback. And would there be compatibility issues? I'd assume if it sends out the right frequency, it would work?

Edit: This one looks like you don't need a working remote so should work fine if you jump through the hoops to set it. http://www.skylinknet.ca/docs/manual...S39eNEWpdf.pdf

There are two already but since I'm never around, I don't get one. I may end up getting a craftsman branded one since that's what the opener is, but if I can save a few bucks and get one that works, I'm open to it

See my edit. The one they had worked fine and I believe (not sure) that it was a Craftsman opener.

If I needed more I would buy more of the original remotes rather than generic ones, to avoid hassle. |
