I use mobil 1 0w-30 full synthetic. No track time with this. I use it as purely a DD. But, I think it will survive track pretty well.

Maybe. Or I'll just drive around 2 modded cars. lol
With a boosted frs, there is the joy of catching people off guard, which adds to the fun factor.
With the evo, everyone expects you to be fast by default. lol

Might I ask what your clutch experience was, and if you ran the stocker how long did it last while boosted?

I ran stock, but switch to an excedy stage 2 before they had an update. Miserable experience. I switched back to to the stock clutch and have been running it for a year now. Holds the 250wtq well.

That's good to hear! Been on the stocker myself for a year now, running just a bit more power than you are. It definitely is losing it's bite but I'm hoping to get another six months out of it. A lot of people had bad luck with the 1st Stage 2 design from Exedy. When the time comes I'm going with Exedy Stage 1. Never heard a complaint, I spoke with Toan @ PTuning and he told me he put down almost 290 wtq on the Stage 1.

People who aren't on E85 are just missing out.

Yea I'd be interested to see what mods/tune caused that too. So many variables at play when you go aftermarket HP, any little thing can cause a failure.

I'd consider an intake valve failure to be a freak accident that is independent of mods (assuming there are no valvetrain mods and stock rev limiter).
