maybe civic boy thinks you give him dirty looks so perhaps he is both jelly and salty every time he drives by your 86

Well, there ya go! Dealer is messing with your head. He snuck it into a place where you wouldn't find it for a while so you'd get freaked out and go back to buy the valet key he lost when you bought the car!

Oh that is a sure sign that he used the valet key to slip a 4 year old parking ticket into your glove box. He may as well have signed a confession

So the thought that somebody from the other side of a city with 4 million people in it found you, drove there, put a 4 year old parking ticket in your glove box, saw you drive up and drove away in some sort of panicked fear seems more reasonable to you than you just didn't notice the ticket in the glove box?

My car has lo jack and I haven't changed the name yet to mine so I'm wondering if he can somehow track where my car is.

Lo jack is a tracker put on the car if it ever got stolen, you tell the cops or call lo jack and they will locate it for u.

And they go to the trouble of tracking it to put a ticket in the glove box? Come on dude get rational.

Looks like they can not track themselves anyway and I highly doubt that they called the police to find your car for them. If they have not been paying the monthly fees then it isn't active anyway. http://www.lojack.ca/DATA/TEXTEDOC/L...ON_eng_web.pdf

Well, I'll buy into the above mentioned theory that it's been in the glove box all along, it was just hiding.

I don't keep papers in the glove box either ..... I keep the registration, insurance card etc. in the zippered folder, along with the manual in the back of the car. No, NOT in that pocket on the back of the front seat. Why not?

Because that's where I keep my loaded .45 ACP along with spare ammo. When and if a LEO stops me and ask for my papers, I don't want to get shot reaching in that pocket.

How did you clean out the glove box and replace the filter and not notice the ticket .. ?? Hey, it's just a mystery, it's just the start. As you get older, you will find that several things will "disappear" and "reappear" ....... without any rational explanation.

Story time:

For example, when I sold my Miata, I had a little stand alone XM receiver, semi-mounted on the console. I was sure I took it out, before I traded in the car. When I went to install it in my FR-S ...... I couldn't fine it. I could even "see" it on a certain shelf in my garage. I tore the garage apart looking for it ..... I couldn't find it. So, I finally figured I'd left in in the miata.

That was 4 years ago. Just the other day I looked up on that shelf, where I thought I had put it, looking for something else ....... AND THERE IT WAS! Right there in plain sight ......

Did I just overlook it ..?? Was mrs humfrz messen with me - hiding stuff .. ??
Did the new owner of my miata, just discover it, fired it up, signed on, found out my address and returned it me 4 years later, placing it on the garage shelf, when my garage door was open ....... and didn't want to wake me because he figured I was old ...... because he saw a Saturn, my old hats and cane collection in the garage ..... ??

Life is full of mysteries ....... just .......be ......

Oh yes, we have had four Saturn cars. They were (the last one still is) all dependable and fairly economical.

Yep, my garage is full of cars that are no longer made .......

Be careful of your Saturns. I saw an ion (I think that's what they're called) on fire 10 mins away from my house. It rear ended a Camry.. the Camry had bumper damage only but that Saturn was in flames

Thanks for the heads up.

The Ion is long gone. I used it as my real estate car and had only two accidents. Both going backwards. The first time, I backed into a brick lamp post in this dudes driveway (why in the hell he had to have a big fat brick pillar just to hold up a lamp, I don't know ..... ).

The second time, I backed into a porta-potty at a new home construction site (that was a stupid place to put a porta-potty ...... ).

So, I traded that Saturn in for a BIGGER one .......
