However, the extra low/mid range torque of this type of blower is calling my name. I don't know if I can resist the extra torque in a daily driver.
I had the same predicament. In the end, I figured I spend more time DD than on the track and that extra bit of low end torque when passing on the freeway or shooting the gap in traffic makes it all worth it.

YOU'RE NOT HELPING

Honestly though, your decision as to why to go with the Edelbrock is exactly what has me coming back to this thread every day. I've read through the entire thread as well as probably 75% of the JRSC thread, and I'm still undecided.

The allure of more lower end grunt with basically the same top end power is appealing, but the oil cooler situation is a bit of a downer.

Not gonna lie - this is exactly what I was hoping to hear. I kept going back to the JRSC, but I secretly wanted confirmation that this would work out OK on the track.

You've given me what I needed to push me to the Edelbrock side. See you guys in a couple months, hopefully with dynos and pics. CSG - I'll be in touch to piece together what I need and to place my order as well.

Exclamation fuel leack

Hi! I just install my Edelbrock supercharger but I've 2 problems:

I can't start the vehicule (i think it's because I've not the good basemap. I'm wating for an other Ecutek tune.

But I've au other problem (maybe which is related to the tune?)
I've a fuel leak from driver side (see the picture) :-(
Do you know what is the problem?

sorry for my broken english... I'm french from Martinique

and it looks like USPlastics has several varieties but I don't see any with the 1/2' (12mm) barb ends, assuming you cut and inserted it into the Radium supplied hose.

I don't honestly know. My mechanic installed it. It is metal, kind of a brass color.

yes, the banjo.
"Torque banjo 23 ft.lbs (31 N.m)." was correct

You shouldn't need a check valve for the Edelbrock since the breather outlets connect to pre-charged areas. Check valves are a good idea to use when the the breather connects to a charged (pressurized) area like an OE intake manifold on a force inducted car. I through a Vibrant Performance one-way valve on my wifes Forester XT (FA20DIT) when I did a catch can. Works like a charm. Our E-force equipped 86's shouldn't need it.

Question

Hello everyone,

Does anyone can provide me the link to download the free EcuTek tune from Edelbrock? Thanks

You need the kit without tuner, part number 15560. The CARB tune will be available for everyone to download, free of charge, from Edelbrock!
I looked at http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/.../support.shtml but couldn't see any information related to this free tune.

Thanks.

What does it mean that whenever I fill up with a full tank of gas, the engine feels smoother and stronger?

This happens very consistently, and it's not placebo. At higher RPMs it performs fine, more noticeable at lower RPMs. I also have the dreaded hesitation problem with the Edelbrock S/C, and having a full tank seems to help with that too.

Fuel pressure issue? Is it a known thing to have to do fuel-related upgrades for the Edelbrock S/C?

I have no other engine mods... Running Delicious tune v21.

Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks
