Hey guys
Just did a track day and my oil temps reached 128c (262.4F). I'm planning to get an oil cooler but wouldn't that drop my oil pressure even more? if so, would i have to use thicker oil to correct the problem? I'm currently using 0w20 and N/A Also would an oil catch can be useful for my N/A car? Thanks for the help guys. |

If your going to track car in warmer climates like ours a 5w30 or 0w30. If your going to be a serious track warrior in warm climate then your going to need the full radiator type air to oil coolers avout $800 plus, dont get a crap one get a good brand. If your only an occasional low level track guys id provsbly go the oem subaru forrester wrx oil cooler the oil to coolant type. Avout 300 and wasy fit, these take about 10 degrees off your oilvtemp but run out of capacity with continuous hard use |

I went to the dealer and ordered the complete forester XT oil cooler. IMO this cooler should of been installed via factory. No oil PSI issues and it holds temps better than nothing. Plus side to using it with a turbo is the car warms up so much faster. Dealer cost with you installing it is around $200-$300
