Stick with stock parts. Throwing unneeded "upgrades" at it serves no real purpose and can lead to other issues. The closer you stick to the stock set up the more reliable it should be (although obviously the stock TOB is proving to not be all that reliable).

Sounds like the best option is to stick with OEM.

Appreciate all the input, order has been placed, and I'm doing some shift springs and bushing upgrades while I'm under there. Thinking about that slave cylinder swap as well...

Thanks everyone!

Dropped my transmission last night, and, as I figured, the throwout bearing was toast. I really hope the TOB that came with the Exedy OEM clutch kit lasts longer than this piece of crap did.

I love my ACT clutch, i kept it with the best disc style and streetlight flywheel, prolight can chatter and no true upgrade in noticeable performance. Puck clutches teld to hold more but also can chatter. Ill have to grab a dual clutch or a 6 puck here after my forged build is complete.

345ftlbs is ACTs best disc system
444ftlbs is ACTs best puck style.

I installed a Exedy heavy duty clutch and a Toda light weight flywheel five months ago. I have a header and OFT tune. I found the clutch has a sharper take up which in my opinion improves feel hugely, I would recommend it to anyone that finds the stock clutch a bit vague.
Disclaimer: It isn't the stg 1 exedy clutch however, part number is TYK-8536HD and may only be available in Aus and NZ.

Also I initially found the light flywheel a bit of a pain but once I adjusted the tip in enrichment as per steve99's suggestion in one of the OFT threads it has been a piece of cake to drive.

TL/DR From my experience a HD clutch and lightweight flywheel are worthwhile on a mostly stock motor.
