Tire Penz

Played with tire penz to help reduce (visually) the wheel gap. Will be lowering soon

Dynamics coilover - finally

Stock height with small cans (air fresheners) on top of the tires to emphasize the gap.

Post install. Very great value for money coilovers.

Had a small oil leak and this needed to be replaced. Not sure if it's from my turbo kit or if it's factory. I'll know more after I talk to the mechanic.

Track day June 24

Finally able to track the car after the oil cooler, coils and wheels.
For budget coils, I can't complain and very happy to have given it a try. Track comfort and performance at paracetamol with the KW I had on my STI. (It may be unfair to compare 2 different coils on different cars). Versus stock, braking, cornering speed, acceleration and high speed stability.
Travel to and from the track was also comparable to the STI. No aching body after the 2 hours drive to the track and 2 hours back home. This is with the kind of roads we have here.
The oil temp maxed out at 230F in the winding section of the track and easily went down to 200-210 in the straights. No oil consumed after more than 15 laps. 5 cycles of 3-4 laps with 15-30 min of rest in between. Better heat management compared to my STI which tended to overheat on this track.

IRP short shift

[ame="http://youtu.be/gI7ozf-3Tfg"]http://youtu.be/gI7ozf-3Tfg[/ame]

After staring at it for almost 2 weeks and watching the above video x number of times I finally had it installed. A lifter makes the job easier and I'm glad I did not DIY on my own. FT86SF video was very helpful, i suggest to remove the exhaust for more room. There is a rubber boot covering the shifter linkage not included in the instruction video.

It works as promised and the product is truly on another level. The height will make you think about getting one but the height is one of the better things about it. More than the reduced throw (60% less as advertised) the reduced distance of 1/2nd to 3/4th to 5/6 is much less. Reverse lock out, works like a charm and is much cooler than the OEM design.

One thing not discussed in the video is road noise. Due to the removal of the foam insulation and the rubber boot the exhaust, road and drive shaft are all magnified.
This is a plus probably for some (hopefully more) and a deal breaker for others. This can be remedied with some DIY insulation or sound deadening. Ive yet to try the car on the highway but during my short trip home 100kph is very bearable.
