I get that code everytime I hit 8K RPM.. first time was 3 yrs ago, my car hasn't blown up yet.
Thank you! It gives me a peace of mind. I was about to drop hella cash to get it "fixed."

Although, just keep in mind.. getting that code at 4-5K RPM, and getting it at 8K RPM can be two totally different things. Not trying to scare ya, just saying.. different circumstances, different loads, different tunes, etc...

From my experience once you get a P035X code, it will continue to happen again with increasing frequency. I agree that you can change the coil pack out yourself and about $120 seems to be the correct price for the part.

In order to change it out you'll just need a 10mm 1/4 in socket (probably with a finger driver and a regular handle), a bit of time, and make sure the motor has cooled off.

Make sure you connect the wire harness to the new coil pack BEFORE you slide it back into the motor.

Just as a warning, the last time my car threw the p0351 code I happened to be data logging at the track. I was only getting the code above 6000 RPM. Later that night when I looked over my data logs, turns out I was getting fairly significant knock above 6000 RPM (-4 to -5 degrees FLKC) from the failing ignition coil. If you're planning to drive the car hard in the upper RPM range, probably best to replace the coil ASAP. As mentioned above, it's not too difficult, just a little annoying.
