Just bought the oft and before I purchased it I was told that there are tunes avaliable for the 2017 brz mt. Are there no updates yet? I downloaded the ots tunes and there are none for my Calid.

I have emailed them already, just wanted to ask here as well.

Nope. No stage 2 for 2017 manual transmission motors yet. It's been a painful wait so far.

I have (and a few others here I think) been on a beta tune for a while now (bone stock car). But, haven't heard a thing from them in months...

Hey Guys,

Shiv emailed me beta tunes for Stage 2 UEL headers couple of days ago. I just installed headers and tuned it yesterday. Seems to work fine, I haven't dynoed or anything thing but it does drive pretty well.

I'd be happy with that, I'm sure that's what I'll end up getting from shiv. My car is also completely stock as well, and if it'll help shiv then even better. I appreciate all the time and work that goes into these tunes.

Im' also interested in getting more info about beta tunes, as well as helping develop a stage 2 tune since I'm planning on getting UEL headers in the next couple of months

Shiv has all the logs and debugs. All should have been well according to those. Well above my pay grade, but I put it down to shit happens. I'll try again when someone else has a good flash. E85 should be impressive in the MT.

Ok i now know what went on here, only flash 2017 roms to 2017 cars, with the earlier cars 2012-2016 you can often flash an earler or later rom without issue.

The 2017 manuals are different, if you flash an earlier rom the car wont start, even if you then flash back the original rom, it still wont start.

For some reason the older roms cause the ECM (engine module) and the imobilier\main body ecu to loose their security sync.

To get it started agian you need to resync the engine control module back into the security. Same proceedure as chqanging an ecu.

Then your good to go

So basicly dont try earlier roms they wont work.

Picked up an OFT today, got an email with beta tune from shiv. Can't tell, but looks like stage 2 91 UEL tune. Waiting for confirmation that this is in fact the level of the tune.

Probably flashing tomorrow and I'll see how it drives (no dyno other than the ol fashioned butt dyno)

Is anyone running a stage 1 tune on a 2017 MT, successfully? The download package from the Openflash site doesn't seem to have it.

Its only beta version at present contact the openflash guys they can email it to you
