Lol. No. The cap came out of the acura. Did not need it in my FR-S.

I was going to get an extra battery and a dual charge kit for the acura. But, already had zero trunk room. Sold the earthquakes. (26lbs each) went to two JL 12's in a smaller box. More efficient.

I have one 10" in my FR-S...

Welcome to the forum!

Edit: clarification...

Ah ok thanks for the details! I'm actually busy putting in two 12" subs (800 RMS each) so the big three is the beginning of my fitment escapades. Fun times ahead!

Thanks for the welcome

Just finished installing my wiring in the engine bay for the big 3. Used 0 gauge and went from positive battery terminal to the post of the alternator. Then from negative battery post to the factory ground on the right strut tower wall, and then from the back of the engine block to the same grounding point. Soldered the ends on and used heat shrink. also ground down the metal at the grounding point to bare metal just to make sure.

Class A, B or D?
or better yet, what amps?

Class D I wouldn't even worry. if it's Class A (Which i'd highly doubt), upgrade everything.

I am running a Audison Voce 5.1k, haven't upgraded anything apart from the battery, and running 4g

One of my older setups in a previous car, 5kw class D and 300-400wrms Class A/B (5kw was swapped out for 800wrms A/B for SQ comps)
Never upgraded Alternator/earth from the battery.

If your lights are dimming, you don't need a cap.
it's a myth that just won't die.. probably cause car audio companies want you to keep buying them.

Upgrade your power system, better battery, better alternator if you are really dragging out some power and the alternator is old.

I have my stereo in, but neglected my big 3 because I'm lazy and dumb. I will be doing it with 0 gauge wire, and the from inspecting the engine bay it will be the easiest big 3 I've ever done haha. My question for you is why did you route over things instead of tucking wires?

Red wires for ground (wires). Is that a good idea?

I know the car is red, but it just seem off and unnatural.

Also, when running a grounding kit, isn't it a good idea to have the wires go from fender to fender while making connections in between (block, manifold, etc.) to tie several engine grounds together to make one large ground array?
