What exactly do I need to lower to make this happen then? Like what tables exactly? If I drop the rpms does anything else have to be adjusted as well?

You still want it to warm up up to 122 quickly, so from -40 to 122 keep it at 1400 rpm, then from 140 to 176 use 1000 rpm, this should decrease the amount of pulling the car has when you set off. This should also help you notice when the motor is at 122 because you'll notice the idle drop at which point you may set off.

Can someone check this over please that'd be great. Thanks! 140 I changed to 1150 and 158, 176 to 1000. Reason for that is because of a worry I had with my automatic transmission.

Spent all weekend reading through this thread and any cold start related thread I could find. Thanks for all the info everyone!! I'm in a '16 BRZ running a stage 1, 91 octane F40C rom.
My original values for the 91oct Stage 1 F40C rom... FYI, all the tables where there for me using the defs from OFT's website, at least for F40C. I guess they added those in now?? My modded values... What I did... Changed all the Ignition Timing Post Start to -4. Will try 0 later on and see how that sounds. Changed rows 1 and 2 to match the rest of the rows in MAF Correction After Start (in gear and neutral). Changed Idle Speed Targets A-F that were greater than 1200 to 1200. And disabled the P050b DTC. Double and triple checked work, uploaded modded rom to OFT, flashed the car, and started up while the car was still cold and success! A major drop in cold start noise. Exhaust is still going to be heard by my neighbors, but shouldn't piss them off as much if I need to idle a bit before leaving. FYI, high 70's F would be a 'cold' start where I am. Lol.

It works great! There is still an initial bark when the car initially catches, but it immediately settles down to 1000rpm (my only tables above 1000 are down near 15°f). I'm going to try playing with the initial Cranking Injector Dwell setting to see if I can get the car to stay below that 1000rpm mark, but I was playing around with that before and it had a poor side effect of causing an extended crank before firing. Anyways, @Pointmutation you have it set up right and now there is absolutely no cold start high idle. Job good! |

Just to confirm, these are safe to use with the OTS (AO1C) v2.06X maps? Just replace the XML def in romraider with these instead of the ones provided by shiv, correct?
