I used to be a lurker as well. It took about a year of a constant barrage of misinformation regarding the Twins that made me do the final push and join. Welcome!

Btw, avoiding the money pit is easier said than done!

I came on here in July of 2014 just to do some quick research on the car I didn't know existed until I walked into a showroom but had already paid for when I walked back out. Figured I would read up a little and then just never be back here. I was wrong. So very, very wrong.

See that is what happens when you don't stop on the side of the road and change your fluids on the way home from buying it new!

Welcome. Nothing wrong with keeping things stock. You may change your mind after a little while (not a bad thing since mods typically get cheaper with time, and this car's surely making its way to decade old status before we know it) and do a few more things, not that it needs anything extra to be a blast. I'm only a few months into mine, but I know in a few years I'll still be smiling behind the wheel.

The engine develops a self protective patina over time ...... and it should not be removed........
