I used to be a lurker as well. It took about a year of a constant barrage of misinformation regarding the Twins that made me do the final push and join. Welcome!
Btw, avoiding the money pit is easier said than done!

Hello all. I've been lurking on here for quite some time, and figured I'd finally come out of the shadows! I've had my 13 FR-S for about four years now. It's stock except for the TRD exhaust and a drop in filter. I'm a lifelong car nut, with a particular soft spot for sport compacts. Did the Scion First Drive when the car came out and knew then it would be my next car. I love seeing all the different approaches people take when making the car their own. I've chosen to leave this one alone since some of my deepest money pits in the past have involved four wheels. Anyways, here's some pics.

Welcome! Massive kudos for this pic

You'll do well here I think

There have been many. Most just go away on their own. Some take some work.

Sometimes they are in sight on the site as well. They usually expose themselves (figuratively)

I came on here in July of 2014 just to do some quick research on the car I didn't know existed until I walked into a showroom but had already paid for when I walked back out. Figured I would read up a little and then just never be back here. I was wrong. So very, very wrong.

He may be masquerading as me, though.

See that is what happens when you don't stop on the side of the road and change your fluids on the way home from buying it new!

Well considering the source of your car mod material it is a good thing you didn't go the other possible route!

Welcome. Nothing wrong with keeping things stock. You may change your mind after a little while (not a bad thing since mods typically get cheaper with time, and this car's surely making its way to decade old status before we know it) and do a few more things, not that it needs anything extra to be a blast. I'm only a few months into mine, but I know in a few years I'll still be smiling behind the wheel.

Thanks for joining us.

Ohhhh ....... my, that is not good for engine bays.

The engine develops a self protective patina over time ...... and it should not be removed........:eyebulge:

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it ..... :D
