I just do the plate adjustment, zero toe at max camber, the front will toe out as you go positive camber so if you need less camber for an event you'd get a touch of toe out which isn't a bad thing.
Going more positive for driving back and forth to the event, balancing how much toe out you want to live with, got solid wear out of my ZIISS with that strategy, ~20k miles and a season of non-competitive autocross, ~3 track days. You could also figure out a toe adjustment between an autox and street settings to do at home pre/post event, a simple string box in your driveway and a weekend of tinkering, turn tie rods X times to go between street/autox, should be pretty easy to replicate and not a huge time sink. |

My driveway is nowhere near flat or level so a diy is kinda out of the question. I think the zero toe and might have the shop mark the plates at -2.5 and -3 to adjust more simply will be the ticket til I get my daily wheels in Summertime. Then ill just get cheaper tires to daily and not care if the alignment hurts them a bit lol

Hey all!
Haven't been around for a while but was thinking of hitting the local Autox again. Would any of you know if the Whiteline rear upper control arm bushing set is legal for STX? If so, is it worth the upgrade? Thanks! Here's a link to the bushings. http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/whit...l#.WHCfSrU76aM |

Really looking forward to the autox season starting again, but thankfully being in the Midwest doesn't mean I have to stop racing in the winter!

Anybody in STX running RCE Tarmac 2's with stock sway bars? Right now I'm running Whiteline 20mm front bar and I hate it. It makes popping sounds pretty often and I can never get rid of it. I thought maybe I could just put the stock bar back on and compensate with damping?

I'm only locally competitive and compromise between a car that's track and autox. so take with lots of salt.

That said, I think a stock bar setup with the 400lb springs all around is fairly similar to the setup I ended up with, but keep in mind it'll be a little more playful at the limit and you're going to lose time being sideways more often.

My 20mm whiteline is relatively quiet, gotta really crank down on those endlink nuts, I think the whiteline links kinda suck, they're on my list of things to replace, probably with just hardware store parts like I did for my rear end links.
Hell maybe just try the stock endlinks for a day if your dampers aren't totally whack on the mounting points. |
