Maybe not so out of date. There are lessons to learn here.

Among the increasingly irritating and dangerous habits of drivers who have no concept of road courtesy are kids who snicker at the term "fog" lights because they never turn them off; yokels in huge pickups who blast every watt they have directly into your rearview mirror as a warning to get out of their way; and seniors whose night vision has naturally deteriorated and feel it's okay to compensate for it by blinding everybody else on the road. The people who claim to "need" the extra light in ordinary conditions should just admit that they should not drive at night.

Incidentally, drivers who are new to the BRZ's intense headlights should learn that the low beams are designed with a sharp roll off at the top to provide a good flood of light to drive with while protecting other drivers from scorched retinas. Adjust your beam so the line falls below the windows of oncoming cars. This should give you plenty of comfortable driving light without making you into a potential murderer.

Reresurrected (by a search) due to my question.

For those who are lowered, although the beam angle will be the same, it will meet the road closer to the vehicle than normal and thus not be as optimal.

Therefore, it should be possible to raise the headlight beam angle beyond the dash wheel's uppermost limit without affecting oncoming traffic. The question is, does the BRZ have the capability to dial in an adjustment under the hood that would have the 0 setting actually be a -1 or -2?

I'll keep looking, and feel free to shit all over me if this is covered and I missed it.

Oh, and Happy New Year guys and gals (yeah sure, guys and gals, or whatever the politically correct term is nowadays we're supposed to refer to each other as).

LOL Not the same sort of resurrection! To bring back a 3 year dead thread to say "That is why I will buy a BRZ" is not the same as calling it up for a question.

Would appear you can and it seems pretty simple. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57122

Be careful how high you raise it if the rear is lowered more that the front though. Even A slight difference can throw the beams higher than you want. I made that mistake once and it almost cost me a ticket.

I will give it a try.
Also, remember that each headlight has a manual up/down adjustment in plain sight on the back of the headlight pod, operated by a (very short) Phillips head screwdriver. If you like the highest of low beams, you probably should use this manual adjustment to lower the left one some to avoid scorching the retinas of oncoming drivers!

IMHO, the electric adjustment is the best thing since whatever.

Actually, yes, but that further adjustment is manual (see my note just above). You can use the manual adjustment to shift the whole range of the electrical adjuster up or down to achieve what you're asking for, though it is a slow PIA.
