Headrest issue?

Some of the interior shots from the reveal yesterday show the headrests leaning extremely far forward over the seats. Does anyone know if they are adjustable fore/aft? If they are not they could be very restricting and cause considerable discomfort/annoyance over long drives.

I think it could be just how the seats return after they have been folder forwards. The seats felt comfy when I had adjusted them.

I agree, they look terrible.

Such a shame, because the seats otherwise look quite good.

I'm hoping some ricer who wants to drive with a reclined seat will buy them off ebay.

Are you seriously complaining about the position of the seats in the pictures? Kill yourself, you probably don't have a drivers license. You are a waste of space.

I think this is a legitimate question! Jeeze people...

OP I dont think you will have a problem with discomfort with the design.

Many headrests in todays seats are actually barley used especially with the driver. It happens that an average amount of drivers tend to lean forward their heads for better visibility. Not many actually are relaxed enough to use the head rest.

If you consider the body contusion when one sits in a low slung bucket seat. You will find that the head automatically leans forward. putting a headrest the way the 86 does it actually eliminates neck strain found on racing seats after long use.

Dammit WoW! Why did you have to go and bring facts and common sense into this!

+1 for common sense

To OP: i think a sit in the car would answer your question. I questioned it a bit as well but it doesn't seem to be much of an annoyance IMO.

As mentioned above, the only way you're going to know for sure is to sit in one yourself. Most of the reviewers seemed fairly fond of the seats and didn't bring up any negative aspects, so it should be okay.

Anti-whiplash headrests. Common on most seats these days. They are plenty comfortable.
