Oil temp reading via OBDLINK?

OFT , ecutek and tactrix read logging parameters buy directly requesting the data f:om an ecu ram address. These ram addresses arexdifferent for each 86brz rom calid and different for different vehicles and have to be individually found by dissassembling the rom ecu program. Hoever it allows much fastercreading of data up to 20 times a second

Generic obd application like torque racecrono etc use pid or predetermined parameter id,s that are generally standard on all cars, however datexratexis slow may twice a second. Manufactures have to stick to a standard for basic pis,s but after that they are free to use their own pid,s i suspect oil temp is not a basic pid

I do not know it, I have to wait for the gent who built the tune to help me out there. I'm not into building tunes myself, my time is very limited to try and dig myself into that

Sorry to necro a thread but I've got the exact same problem, I have an ODBlink and am using the ODBlink app but it doesn't show oil temp... When reading oil temp through the ECUtek it reads perfectly fine.

Was there a solution to reading oil temp in ODBlink?

I also tried to add the custom PID via a link posted earlier in this thread and it didn't read anything, see screenshot below for settings:

Obdlink reads PIDs differently than Torque and ECUtek. This is my custom PID for oil temp:

I'm glad I just found this thread today. BUT I haven't been able to gleen the solution. Using torque and on OFT tune 1, oil temp is read. Write OFT tune 2, and I lost the oil temp. I am looking for exact instructions to be able to restore the oil temp with torque app.
