Parts & labor costs for replacing damaged suspension components add up quickly on top of the original cost of a standard alignment.

lol, alignment + parts + labor, I'd be surprised if the whole procedure I outlined (suggested by renfield) could be done for less than $300 even if the dampers are DIY installed.

I'd expect barebones, ~$200 on dampers, free DIY install, ~$100 on alignment, then if something else is broken I'd expect another ~$100 charge to replace it at the alignment shop, minimum.

Some people have been quoted at $400+ for a spring install. If OP takes it to the dealership, buys OE replacements ($95 F, $65 R) I would be surprised if they charged less than $400, and then another $100 for the alignment, then sales tax they'd be paying $600+ on this. And maybe a control arm is bent or a bearing has failed, we don't know, at ~$100 per broken part needing replacing, the real fix for this could run the OP over $1,000.

Yeah, cheap alignment places are <$100, the good ones around me seem to charge $100-$150/axle, that's not needed when only factory adjustment is available, all you can do is toe.
