Wow, I had no idea people were using that on cars so long ago. You learn something new every day.

So this is true, but I would say there is a caveat which is that plastidip will stain quite easily, so you need to do touch up spraying if you want to keep it looking nice.

I dipped my 2.5RS over a year ago. The car was white and I dipped it white with clear TopCoat. The paint was horrible on it so dipping was the cheapest alternative. It looks pretty decent. Keeping it clean is another matter. Washing with soap and water is not gonna cut it. I use a 50/50 dilution of Purple Power and water. For all the effort I put into it, I wish I would have tried spraying real paint instead.
