I've been waiting for a reply like this. Thanks for your input. I do have A dual 12 inch sub that's always blasting and my ac is always on. So guessing this is a bad idea then

An underdrive alternator pulley slows down the alternator always and not only at high RPM. You don't have to spin the engine at 9,000 RPM or something like that as you mentioned. In general there is a lot of misunderstanding of how to accomplish underdrive. I've even seen pulleys that the manufacturer stated they were providing underdrive and in fact it was the other way around

True. Just pointing out that's the only time you'd WANT to slow down accessory drive speeds. I could have worded that better.
