Cheap pulley kit from ebay

However, keep also in mind that my car is less than 2620lbs, I installed the most expensive pulley kit and it also underdrives the alternator (not good if you have A/C, heated seats or in general use the battery a lot). Additionally, you'll hear more noises from the engine. For me it is fine, because it is a sports/race car and not a daily driver. I would never install this on my daily car. If you want to buy it, I agree with the others. Don't buy these things from ebay for cheap.

I've been waiting for a reply like this. Thanks for your input. I do have A dual 12 inch sub that's always blasting and my ac is always on. So guessing this is a bad idea then

Now, if you go buy a motor from Element Tuning or someone that's meant to spin to 9,000 RPM all day long, then maybe there's some merit there.

An underdrive alternator pulley slows down the alternator always and not only at high RPM. You don't have to spin the engine at 9,000 RPM or something like that as you mentioned. In general there is a lot of misunderstanding of how to accomplish underdrive. I've even seen pulleys that the manufacturer stated they were providing underdrive and in fact it was the other way around

True. Just pointing out that's the only time you'd WANT to slow down accessory drive speeds. I could have worded that better.
