Have you looked into the Google Pixel XL?

It's gonna have the best camera on the market, and totally stock android. However you're not gonna get a touch pen or wireless charging if those are a must.

My Pixel should be in early next week

I like the OP3. There are some issues with apps but I think its network related as everything is slow and I know others having similar issues (though not exactly the same). Its dumb things like spotify thinking i have no signal when i do. Solved by opening and closing app.

For the money I'll prob be sticking to OnePlus moving forward since I really only like phones with close to stock Android.

So everything is slow, network-wise on the OP3? I need to upgrade from the OPO here pretty soon. It's a nice phone, but it's starting to show it's age after a couple of years.

I actually was talking to a friend yesterday and figured out it wasnt a phone problem per se. My work is on the border for 4G and LTE coverage so it keeps bouncing between them causing the slowness. Now whenever its running slow I check and it is doing the same thing. I know there is a way to edit what networks it trys to pick up but I need to figure out if I can seperate those and see if it gets better. My other friend with Tmobil in the same area has no problems at all with his OP3

Yeah I've looked at it. Comparing that and the S7. However wireless charging would be nice. I work at a dealer and almost all our cars have wireless charging haha and I'm driving atleast half my work day. It be a big change for me to not have to switch batteries halfway through the day then charge both batteries when I get home.

But stock android is a big advantage in itself....

If anybody is considering getting a Nexus 5X, 6P, or Pixel, keep in mind that they are not waterproof, so it's a good idea to get 2-year insurance on it. Mine didn't survive a 3-second dunk in the sink.

But still good value on the 5x now that they're $200 from google. I love mine.

In theory, you should be able to go into the mobile network settings and disable LTE coverage. If you're rooted, you might be able to set it up to do it automatically when you get to work. There are a few apps that let you edit settings based on environment change (location, wifi connections, etc). I know I have been able to do it with Cyanogenmod on previous phones.

Speaking of Cyanogenmod, I used to be on that 5 years ago. It was amazing! Until I was given an iPhone as a present. Then 2 years ago I got this S5 but never bothered to root it. Is Cyanogenmod still the best?? The only thing I was unhappy about though was how much it killed battery life

Cyanogenmod was my go-to ROM for anyone back around 2012-2013. When I started using their software, there were so many options that it was actually fun to crawl the Settings app and see what they added over stock android. There were new functions for the phone (notification light customizations power settings), the launcher app was customizable with different animations, theme support was alive and well.

Honestly, it feels like they've fallen off a bit since they sold out and incorporated. They used to be all about adding features into the ROM, and the devs were really good about staying in touch with the users. Now, it's slow to update, and you don't hear from the devs for months at a time.

I would crawl the XNA forums, and see if anyone has popped up to fill the void.
