My Nexus 5 is still amazing after two years.

But this is my all time favorite phone hands down.

My LG g3 and HTC M1 got lost. Also, there was a phone inbetween the flip and blackberry. (blackberry err Crackberry was awesome!)

The screens kept getting bigger till my new Galaxy S7. it is the size of the HTC in the photo. (and is taking the photo)

S6 edge plus, htc m8, galaxy S2, iPhone 4, blackberry something, and finally some old flipper.

Meh, i try.

Do they give you a nice discount for phones you buy through them?

This was when Bluetooth was pretty much an Ericsson only thing (and one other phone the Nokia 6310). I had an even older Bluetooth headset before this (basically the same one as the Tomb Raider movie) and the average dude on the street had no idea. Too bad this one has a 15 year old dying battery.

BTW I met Howard Chui once lol!

Nexus 5X, I've had it about a year now iirc, gf is on a 6P, both on Google Fi. Reception is a downgrade from ATT (which I've been on since they bought Cingular), but we're averaging ~$20/month cheaper than ATT's off contract plan ($80/month cheaper than having the phones subsidized) and no threat of data overage charges.

Past smart phones between us, reverse chronological: HTC One M7 (GPE), Samsung GSIII, Samsung GSII, iPhone 3G.

I'm over paying >$600 for a flagship phone, but I'd be willing to spend up to that for the 'right' phone for me. The Nexus line was great $/value, it's enough phone to last you 2-3 years without too much complaint at half the cost of the flagships but with software updates that improved the phone instead of making it useless like Apple did to my 3G. I'm disappointed with what Google's doing with the Pixel, but I get it, they need a flagship for Android that represents what's great about Android, but it's not the phone for me.

What I really want, is a slightly downsized Sony Z5C on straight vanilla android; ~4.2" screen just the right size for me to use one handed comfortably, 720p because it's small as fuck I won't be able to tell the difference between 720p & 1080p, and a longass battery life because it's nice to not worry about that stuff.

I'll give Steve Jobs credit, he had his priorities right on a few things; iPhone 5, 4" screen.

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O99m7lebirE"]iPhone 5 - TV Ad - Thumb - Commercial - YouTube[/ame]

Although, I'm listening to Jobs reveal the first iphone and the way he talks is hilariously like the way Trump talks, 'it's phenomonal' 'we invented it!' 'we patented it!' 'we have the best x'. Also, 'it's a 3.5 inch screen it's really big!' lol.

Fingers crossed Google Fi is still around in a few years and I can get a decent phone for it. But if not life moves on.

Well only a ~ 5" fits into the twins cupholder phone slot.

Pixel is just too much money for what it is, makes OnePlus seem like a bargain.

iPhone 1 was essentially Steve Jobs' interpretation of the Sony Ericsson P800, but with some bullshit phone specs other than ground breaking touchscreen and UI.

I haven't looked at it since the specs were revealed, but $650 for a good processor (top of the line really isn't necessary anymore), high end screen, a top of the line camera, and clean OS with instant updates is better than anything Samsung, HTC, LG, Moto, and to some extent Apple offers (if you don't like iOS). It's supposed to swing at the iphone and on paper it totally does.

Maybe the reviews knocked it down a few pegs, I don't really care, maybe I'd pick one up used in a year if the 5x started not holding up and I'd rather be looking at long term reviews at that point.

The OnePlus was always a bargain if you were willing to risk their QC.

I'll be able to compare soon. I have a OnePlus 3 and the GF preordered the Pixel.

I like the OP3. There are some issues with apps but I think its network related as everything is slow and I know others having similar issues (though not exactly the same). Its dumb things like spotify thinking i have no signal when i do. Solved by opening and closing app.

For the money I'll prob be sticking to OnePlus moving forward since I really only like phones with close to stock Android.

I was very close to buying an OP3 recently since a low volume issue (memory leak) cropped up with N5 security updates but turns out it's solved with 3rd party kernels (using Franco kernel).

As if Google purposely broke the N5 and no Android 7 update so that people would finally upgrade. They claimed to have fixed the issue since August but in reality they never did.

Wish Google kept the wireless charging at least, otherwise the small Pixel is the perfect replacement for me.

Nope. We play the same you guys do for phones. Service we get 50% off the whole bill. When I first started you were able to win phones and stuff from contests. But it's been a few years.

I've been wanting a Note 7 but didn't have space in the budget. Was waiting until black Friday to replace my galaxy S5. Now I have no idea what phone I'll get lol
