Scratches in my windshield

My windshield has scratch lines from my wiper blades. I replaced the blades, and I tried buffing out the scratches using Bon Ami and a damp cloth bonnet on my polisher. Afraid to bear down too hard and get a hazy mark in the windshield. Has anyone else had this issue, and how did you deal with it?

I'd suggest getting a replacement.

I would not recommend using a quartz-based scouring powder. I doubt there's really anything you can do about it without making the problem worse.

That's why he's a detailer; not a 'eh - good enuff-er'. i'd rather an instructional video goes in depth. you can always choose to do a fraction of what he does if you're satisfied with the results.

I had a very small chip in the windshield of my Forester and we replaced the entire windshield. The insurance company paid the damage. I saw today another chip in my BRZ, but I am not sure what the dealer will suggest. Car glass solution is not always good, because it doesn't provide the necessary protection.

Loads of actual glass polishes on the market that will completely eliminate light scratches. Not even hard to do.
