The baseline was the 2nd run he did based off the Jackson racing canned tune (originally the first dyno pull before he tweaked it was 236 hp, 183 torque from just installing the tune that comes with the kit)and that was supposed to be for 91 octane and cali compliant. The custom tune got me to the 295/211 and was for 93 octane. I guess the Jackson racing was just a extremely conservative tune. I really didn't expect to go in there and come out with 60 extra horses. Also it drives more like stock now and not as jerky as with the canned tune. Before the custom tune it seemed as if there was a delay in throttle response that is now fixed as well.

I kinda expected more tbh. But also dont Mustang Dyno's read kinda lower? I saw someone on a Dynojet with the CARB tune who made 250. Hard to believe the Delicious Tune only saw a gain of only 4 hp.

My BRZ has been holding up fine so far. The C38 is a beast though. I'd think carefully about going HBP and flex fuel on a stock motor/tranny with the C38. You'd PROBABLY be fine for a while, but I'd definitely start saving for a rebuild. |
