What is the difference of the baseline, 93 vs FF? Or Carb vs his tune?

The baseline was the 2nd run he did based off the Jackson racing canned tune (originally the first dyno pull before he tweaked it was 236 hp, 183 torque from just installing the tune that comes with the kit)and that was supposed to be for 91 octane and cali compliant. The custom tune got me to the 295/211 and was for 93 octane. I guess the Jackson racing was just a extremely conservative tune. I really didn't expect to go in there and come out with 60 extra horses. Also it drives more like stock now and not as jerky as with the canned tune. Before the custom tune it seemed as if there was a delay in throttle response that is now fixed as well.

Relevant Mods:
Automatic trans (According to Doug @ DBW, they run about 8-10% less on his dyno than a manual)
Jackson Racing supercharger
High boost pulley
Flex fuel with E72 in the tank
Full catless exhaust

This is hitting 12 psi at the very top with the high boost pulley.
Do you know how his automatic FRS is handling the high boost pulley? Im running the c38 and debating about going HB and flex fuel but am afraid that the tranny wont hold up.

I kinda expected more tbh. But also dont Mustang Dyno's read kinda lower? I saw someone on a Dynojet with the CARB tune who made 250. Hard to believe the Delicious Tune only saw a gain of only 4 hp.

When you say "his" do you mean me? I have the car you quoted. Doug had a turbo'd manual FRS.

My BRZ has been holding up fine so far. The C38 is a beast though. I'd think carefully about going HBP and flex fuel on a stock motor/tranny with the C38. You'd PROBABLY be fine for a while, but I'd definitely start saving for a rebuild.

I did not do a baseline dyno, but yes, this mustang dyno reads low consistently and the dyno jets tend to read much higher than mustang dynos.

About to run E-85 and expect around 330 whp 240tq.

Thank you very much for the info. And sorry for some reason when I read your original post I thought you were talking about a friends FRS. If you were to recommend one or the other "flex fuel VS HBP" which would you go and why? Im just looking for a little more power. The c38 is nice and of itself but I just need a little more lol.

From what I'm reading, Flex fuel first if you have access to E85. HBP will increase the power output dramatically and needs higher octane anyway, so start with E85 first. It should be plenty more power from there.

Definitely flex fuel. You'll get a very nice power bump on just the stock pulley. And the HBP is an easy upgrade should you want it later.
