Yeah but you're measuring in CHP so that's like 3 USHP.

Get an Catless UEL Header, or catless EL header and then tune it. I noticed a pretty decent difference with throttle response and power.
With your current setup, you're not gonna notice any difference at all. |

Even with a simple tune and no other changes, he can have a 10-12hp gain. I wouldn't do it, but it is possible. With the trd catback exhaust, the intake and a tune he'll be closer to the +20hp limit. |

The tune will make more gains then anything else. Intake may give a couple more HP then jusg the ots tune and catback is good for sound only basically

![]() Help me out here, if a "tune" can increase the power by say 10 HP, what is the downside(s) ....... except it messes with the warranty .... ?? If there are no downsides, why didn't the manufacturer do it ..... ![]() humfrz - far, far behind .....

The gain in HP/TQ guys are getting from just a header and tune is rediculous. Add E85 to the tune and apparently, by their words, its a different engine. |

The factory keeps the engine tuning a bit more conservative because you might not find always good quality fuel (premium fuel). Additionally, as mentioned already some parts might wear faster. The engine was not tested at all with this +10 hp increase. My dealer has no problem to install other components to my car (e.g., for handling), but he is strict on engine modifications. No chip tuning, no ECU tuning! Btw., a tuned car might lose also more value. Especially after the 5+ year period ... |

![]() ![]() I forgot about "super acceleration mode". I still remember when I found that switch hidden in the passenger side foot well... I can see why the factory hid it there to prevent inexperienced drivers from getting into too much trouble! I keep mine plugged for safety reasons...
