What can my car do?

Hey everyone, hope you're all having a good hump day ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I have a question. I was hoping someone could give me a rough estimate of how much Torque and how many horses my car can put out with it's current build. I bought my car used last October. It's a 2013 FR-S. Sadly it's Automatic, though I wanted a stick when I was looking around. I bought this one because of TRD package it had, which I'll go over now.

She's got the TRD dual Cat-Back Exhaust, and the TRD Intake System. It's also got the OEM Scion Spoiler on it, I'll include a picture below.

I just wanted to know what kind of power my car makes with these little upgrades, if it even changes anything at all, lol.

Thanks everyone!

My car is the one on the right, and don't mind the 'S' not matching the 'FR-' on the badge lol

+6hp !!!! Lmaoo. Maybe if you get a tune you can really get power out of this setup. I'm sure your making a couple ponies over stock.

The OEM spoiler? 10hp over stock right there.

At least +10 street cred over stock..... Haha, welcome man!

at least now you can get a TRD badge and slap it on because you have legit TRD parts unlike some posers i see on the streets

Welcome, Matthewjk ...... to FR-S ownership ........ :)

Nice upgrades, but, like @warmwetness says, they don't yield that much power gain.

I would estimate, roughly, a HP gain of 2.361 and a torque gain of .98421.

The spoiler will add, roughly, 4.9386 MPH to the top speed.

Welcome!

Right now, you'll see a small gain of maybe 2-5HP.

The only way these cars make a reasonable amount of more power is an Unequal Length Header as well as some form of tune.

You can reach just about 200whp with a E85 tune if you're looking for even more power.

continuecrushing 08-17-2016 04:53 PM

probably 6.3-7.289whp depending on weather.

Mine has the almost the exact same set up except I just have the drop in. I doubt there is even a 5 horse increase. I did notice a marginally better throttle response with the TRD drop in though so would expect the same with the intake.

^This. You're looking at 2~5hp max.

Cheaper than all of that, STICKERS!!!!!!! Eveyone is worth at least 5 horsepower and the bigger ones could even increase this by 200%.

I'd recommend to not worry about power output and focus on how driving the car makes you feel.

warmwetness 08-17-2016 05:36 PM

Tune it
