Yeah, the dealership has made many changes. I worked there several years ago, but they were run very well at the time, with no mark-ups on any cars. Very few of the employees around when I worked there are still there, though many of them had switched to other dealerships.

Cerritos Toyota is great from what I remember. My old sales manager who I used to work under is there now, and he helped us out when my girlfriend traded her 2004 Corolla in for a 2010 Corolla two years ago.

Dont buy from there. Go to another dealer selling at MSRP. I know you want the car now but dont get ripped off in the process. One local dealer was selling with 18" TSW Nurburgring for an extra $2445. It's BS.

Same story at a dealer here near Sacramento. The guy said it was a brand new option for a skin/cover (not swapped out seats), and it would save us $1/month!!!!! (in exchange for a longer term.) It was $2500 on paper, but I think they offered us $2000 or $1500. We declined.

Apparently it has a lot more red than stock (the center panel of the seat back/bottom), and there's also a suede option available.

By the way, it seems really easy to get an 86 here. There's a white BRZ outside of town (I sat in it for like an hour to make sure it'd be comfy for road trips), a blue FRS an hour away, and my buddy got a black FRS for himself. Is it tougher to get one down in socal?

Scion is supposed to have fixed pricing. Dealerships make a set amount on each sale due to the fixed pricing.

It seems the dealers are trying to get around that fixed pricing, by adding their own "upgrades" to jack up the cost.

There should be several FR-S available in CA, I would seek another dealership willing to part with one at MSRP.

They're trying to get more money from you. I agree with others - stay far away from that dealer.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. For the price that some of these "dealerships" are charging, you can buy an airline ticket, fly across the country, pay MSRP with no "extras", drive it home, and still pocket a few thousand.

FIND ANOTHER DEALER.

Kindly tell them to F*%K OFF and sell you the car for MSRP without add-ons, or go elsewhere. Simple as that.

If you can get a BRZ for MSRP I'd go that route. Better bang for the buck. I wanted the BRZ but my toyota dealership sold me the fr's for msrp and gave me the $1000 rebate for "new graduate program" so I technically saved over $3k so I went with the fr-s route....

Keep looking around cause it only cost the dealer $400-$500 to wrap the seats. I used to go to this shop in the OC that rewrap the seats for dealers and he said he charges $400-$500. I can tell you where he at.

good luck buddy!
