Yeah I'd love a way to read telemetry and temps and pressures... kinda don't want to hardwire a gauge tho.
Just started reading through the Cusco oil cooler thread on here and saw your posts. I like Cusco products... just bought their rear LCA's too.

Most if not all of the sandwich plates leak a bit, so it may not allow the oil to warm up as quickly during the winter months. An air cooled oil cooler is still nice to have though.
I always monitor the oil temp (using a bluetooth obd2 adapter and the Torque app) so I know when I can safely go into boost and it hits around 190f on my 20 minute commute to work during the summer. It will still go over 200f when sitting in traffic (I've seen as high as 225f), but the benefit of an air cooled oil cooler is that once you start going again at decent speeds it'll cool the oil back down fairly quickly. |

I feel like if I did a water to oil cooler as opposed to air to oil I would regret it long term, but then again as Weederr33 points out, don't want to be over cooling. What's the best oil operating temp for FI, specifically our superchargers? Any ideas? I'm fuzzy on where the temps should range between.

So, in anticipation of BOOST! I did a thing... I bought bigger wheels.
I bought 5x114.3 18x8.5+55 WRX STi black 15 spoke wheels. These will be mated with ISC 15mm conversion spacers and 245/35/18 Michelin PSS on all four corners. These wheels are essentially the same design as the 5x100 18x7.5+48 JDM tS wheels that I currently own, however.... Below you can see in the side-by-side comparison the subtle difference in size (even though the wheels are visually a little skewed, being not exactly side-by-side, one in front of the other). Specifically the inner hub is about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch bigger in circumference. While the inner hub is larger, the actual spoke length is nearly the same. Regardless, this is perhaps the best/only way to maintain the true JDM tS look and still be able to run sizable tires. My aim was to be able to handle the added horsepower and torque from the Harrop SC and potentially be able to handle even higher future output around the 300+hp mark. More pictures to come next week when installed! ![]() ![]()

So where do the new wheels come from? What vehicle? I don't recall another Subaru vehicle having identical wheels but obviously being bigger than the JDM BRZ ones? Also, how much did they cost if you don't mind me asking?
